What was the circumstance that led you to the DZ for the first time to make your very first skydive?
When I was growing up, my brother and dad went skydiving together and we went to Skydive Snohomish and that was my first time seeing this DZ. After that, I went through high school and college and found a job here at Skydive Snohomish. While working on a slow day, there was an opportunity to skydive and I jumped right to it. I jumped with Vlad and had a blast.
What made you want to continue skydiving after your first jump?
The thrill of skydiving was a similar reaction to my first time flying a plane here at Harvey Field. After the first time flying with my instructor, I was hooked. This is a similar feeling with skydiving where it took me a little bit to process what had just happened. Then the adrenaline wore off and I was hooked.
What’s the best / most memorable skydive you’ve ever made?
My first jump so far is very memorable. I remember as soon as the jump door flew open, I knew it was about to get very real. I could immediately see my own breath and we started making our way to the door. I was the last to jump with my instructor and we sat outside of the door for a while to get a good opportunity to get through a hole in the clouds. The moment we jumped, time had stopped and it was a thrill.
If you could jump with anyone in the world, who would you like to jump with and why?
As in jumping with another person, I would love to jump with my dad since he has prior experience jumping from the military. He and I are always game for finding adrenaline spiked adventures to endure together.
